Gardening is a branch of crop production that is engaged in the cultivation of perennial fruit and berry crops. Ryazan region has a rich tradition in the horticulture industry. Apples have always been the region's brand. The article presents an assessment of the main indicators that characterize the development of the horticulture industry in the region. Estimated area change dynamics of fruit and berry plantations in farms of all categories, the level of gross yield of fruits and berries in all categories of farms of the Ryazan region, by areas, yield of fruit and berry crops in the region, consumption of fruits and berries per capita per year in the Ryazan region. Prospects for the development of horticulture in the region are determined.
