Сирийская индустрия туризма сильно пострадала. В связи с этим возникает много вопросов о том, как правительство может восстановить свой имидж и уменьшить последствия кризиса. В этой статье проанализированы состояние сирийского исторического наследия и индустрии туризма до и во время продолжающейся войны, эффективность мер, принимаемых правительством. Сделан вывод о необходимости активных мер, повышения осведомленности местного сообщества о ценности его наследия как одной из основных причин грабежа и разрушения, повышения внимания к внутреннему туризму и важности привлечения туристов из дружественных стран.

This article analyzes the state of the Syrian historical heritage and the tourism industry before and during the ongoing war, the effectiveness of measures taken by the government. The conclusion is made about the need for active measures, raising the awareness of the local community about the value of its heritage as one of the main causes of looting and destruction, increasing attention to domestic tourism and the importance of attracting tourists from friendly countries.
