The scientific article presents a review of scientific literature on the problems of land market formation, determination of cadastral value and identification of price-forming factors, supply on the land market, influence of the land market on political aspects, socio-economic phenomena and processes, specifics and features of land as an investment asset. It is indicated that the transition of land from one category to another characterizes the presence and development of the land market. The scientific article contains an analysis of land in the Perm Territory and the domestic land market. The information base of the study is the data of the official website of the Federal State Statistics Service, the research methods are monographic and comparison. It was revealed that in the Perm Territory over the past five years there has been a decrease in sown areas by eight percent, and over the past two years - by four percent. It is noted that in the Volga Federal District, the Perm Territory ranks twelfth in sown areas, it owns almost three percent of the sown areas. The area under forage crops in the Perm Territory is in sixth (highest) place in the Volga Federal District. An analysis of the dynamics of agricultural lands showed that in the last three years there has been an annual decrease of about eight percent. In the structure of the land fund of the Perm Territory, the largest share is occupied by forest lands, and agricultural lands account for more than twenty percent. The forest fund of the Perm Territory in 2022 was actively replenished due to forested lands transferred by agricultural organizations.
