The article provides an overview of the issue of soil reclamation regime in the permafrost zone (using the example of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The work examines such issues as the soil reclamation regime, the cultivation of vegetable crops in the conditions of Central Yakutia, the decrease in soil fertility, humus formation in the cryolithozone, the production of biofertilizers, practical recommendations for the compensation of mineral substances, the essence of greening agriculture, factors influencing the irrigation regime, the need for water for different crops, optimization of the reclamation regime of agricultural lands, values of the water consumption coefficient, basic methods of irrigation in Yakutia, estuary irrigation of haylands, choice of type of irrigation, the importance of soil humus for moisture retention. Thus, the review examines basic key issues regarding the soil reclamation regime in the permafrost zone.
