Кооперация в сельском хозяйстве приводится в статье как выгодная форма взаимодействия сельхозтоваропроизводителей, а также как самый эффективный путь обеспечения устойчивого роста сельскохозяйственного производства в личных подсобных и фермерских хозяйствах. Показаны современные пути и особенности развития потребительских кооперативов в сельском хозяйстве. Рассмотрены проблемы создания и функционирования кооперативного сектора в агропромышленном комплексе региона. Проведен анализ государственной поддержки малых форм хозяйствования. Исследована динамика развития сельскохозяйственной потребительской кооперации. Сделан вывод о том, что коллективные формы хозяйствования, такие как кооперация, станут мощным стимулом развития экономики аграрного сектора. Для этого требуются устойчивые механизмы государственного регулирования и усиление мер поддержки на всех уровнях власти. Предложены направления и механизмы повышения эффективности государственного регулирования развития сельскохозяйственной кооперации.
