С целью исследования трактовки термина «предпринимательство» и его экономического содержания на основе изучения генезиса сельского малого предпринимательства и тенденций развития рассмотрена его хозяйственная деятельность, генезис и тенденции развития. Уточнено понятие сельского предпринимательства: может, на наш взгляд, считаться сельским предпринимателем лицо, использующее научные достижения в аграрном секторе экономики. При рассмотрении генезиса сельского предпринимательства выявлена его социальная база (работники сельскохозяйственных организаций) и три этапа. Установлена тенденция уменьшения масштаба сельского предпринимательства в силу действия закона концентрации капитала.
