The article examines the effect of sanctions on the development of agriculture in Nizhny Novgorod region, the analysis of the dynamics of separate indicators of the growth of the agricultural potential. When writing this article was used an analytical method by which it was revealed that the effects of the imposition of sanctions for agriculture have both positive and negative.
