The article is devoted to the rational use of agricultural land. The analysis found that the reduction in the area of agricultural land is due to the inclusion of lands in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the Fund of redistribution of land in connection with the liquidation of agricultural organizations and transferring them to the other land category. The article suggests ways to reduce losses of agricultural land.
