The article is devoted to the theoretical interpretation of the planning processes and the involvement of unused agricultural lands in the economic circulation. Established institutional essence and economic content of the emergence of land relations in a multistructure economy. The main characteristics of agrarian land relations are formulated. The issues of the formation of private land ownership in Russia are discussed. Attention is paid to the ecologization of agricultural land use in the current conditions of agriculture.
