The agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Mordovia has an extensive land fund, however, there is a tendency for an annual decrease in land in this category, a tendency for soil degradation and a decrease in soil fertility persists. The analysis of the use of the land fund based on calculations of tension coefficients allowed us to draw conclusions about the balance or tension of the territory of the republic.
