The construction and operation of federal highways has a harmful effect on the surrounding natural landscapes, so management decisions in the field of road network development should be aimed at minimizing the harmful impact on the natural environment. An effective mechanism in this area can be a system of measures aimed on improving the level of environmental safety on federal highways, which includes the following measures: protection of the soil cover; noise protection measures; decrease in the concentration of pollutants in the zone of influence of the road.
