The article notes the importance of rational management and protection of land resources of the Moscow region in terms of urbanization and increasing anthropogenic pressure on the landscape. Some issues related to the inefficient management and protection of land resources arising in the process of land reform are considered. Proposals are made to strengthen land administration mechanisms to ensure their protection. Special attention is paid to the legislative protection of forest lands in the Moscow region.
